What I do
My artistic practice is a response to the physical, intellectual, and emotional aspects of life around me. It is a way to express thoughts and concepts that matter to me. My work is always rooted in the human experience, with its complicated emotions and behaviors – encompassing fears, desires, love, uncertainty, and more. It explores themes I value, like the freedom to be oneself, forging meaningful connections with fellow humans and the natural world, and bravery – the courage to stand out, think independently, and pursue one’s own path. Often my work deals with the contradiction between the inner and the outer in people. It is based on contrasts. Dark coexists with light and colors, philosophical depth with alluring, sensual touch and realism with fiction.
I work with lens-based media, graphics and audiovisual live performances. Projects take often several years to build up. They involve professionals from the sphere of music and performing arts as well as ordinary people whom I encounter accidentally or by searching.
